RIP Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

The staff, governors, pupils and families of Sandringham Primary School are profoundly saddened at the death of Her Late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. Everyone in our school community gives thanks for Her Late Majesty’s service and dedication to the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and all our citizens. We offer our thoughts and condolences to the King and the Royal Family. May Her Late Majesty rest in peace.

As you know, we have now entered a period of national mourning that will continue until the end of the State Funeral. Further school guidance about the period of national mourning will be issued by the Cabinet Office. We will then pass this on to you once we receive the information.

In school today, we have held uplifting, age appropriate assemblies that celebrate and respect the life of Her Majesty. The children will be able to understand the wonderful service and duty that our Queen devoted to us and to celebrate her accomplishments.
