Domestic Abuse - Survivor Groups

11 May 2023

My name is Kirsty and I am the new Domestic Abuse Survivor Liaison Worker in Doncaster.

The service offers 1 to 1 support via calls, text or in person. The goal is to provide you with on-going emotional support (like a friend) for as long as you may need us. Being a survivor myself, I know how hard it can be once all services step away.

I aim to promote confidence, safety and ways we can move forward in our lives. If you are interested in accessing support our criteria is below.

Criteria for survivor support

  • Anyone that has experienced domestic abuse and would like ongoing emotional support
  • Should not still be working with another domestic abuse worker
  • Cannot include anyone still in the criminal justice system (but can include people going through Civil proceedings e.g. family courts)
  • Cannot include anyone still with the perpetrator

If you would prefer support in a group setting with other survivors, I run support spaces all across the borough. For more information, again please contact me for locations, days and times.
