Key Stage 1 Roofing Works

31 May 2024

As part of a major upgrade to our key stage 1 building, roofing contractors have been installing scaffolding, so the building may look slightly different when pupils arrive back on Monday.

The scaffolding is required to provide contractors with access to all areas of the roof, but has been designed to give safe access to the building throughout the works.

The main project is a new roof on the key stage 1 building. Additional work during the summer holidays will include repairs to rendering, redecoration of the masonry and window frames, repairs to small areas of the key stage 2 roof and demolition of The Hut.

Our Trust, Exceed Learning Partnership, is again funding the improvements to ensure pupils benefit from the best possible facilities.

Our key stage 1 cycle and scooter racks are unavailable during the works. A temporary storage area has been set up beside The Hut, but we encourage pupils to walk wherever possible to avoid congestion in this area at the start and end of the day.

Parents and carers are asked to fully supervise pupils within the grounds when dropping off and collecting pupils. In particular, please ensure pupils do not damage the scaffolding protection or pull/climb on the fencing or scaffolding.
